I just wanted to add to the list of first time reviews of the rifle, you know how it is, we all think ours is special :) I went on a 5 day quading expedition to hinton AB recently, and since we were to be camping on crown land i brought along my recently purchased cz 858 tactical 2. I dont have pics or videos yet but they were both taken and ill post them when they come back, but the gist of it is i was shooting, as well as 4 other first time shooters. After going through all of the proper safety lessons with them, we would all shoot 1 round from a fully loaded (canadian) magazine, into a piece of cardboard crudely marked with a bullseye.

After each shot we would check the hits, so it was sort of a fun way to stretch ammo and enjoy the time for everyone. everyone in the group in cluding myself was printing groups (minus a few flyers) under 10 inches at 100 yards. I find this to be very acceptable and was more than pleased with the accuracy of the rifle. It was great because it got a bunch of first time shooters interested as they saw what they could do.. with irons no less!

I plan to put the scout scope with a red dot on the front and try to wring out even more accuracy from my "lil beast" it was really a great time, not alot of recoil and like i said extremely accurate for what it is. Cleaned with windex because we were in the bush and i got the patches coming out clean pretty quick. Very happy i spent the money on it!

The gun will shoot A LOT better then that. If your just screwing around off hand then whatever, accuracy isnt going to be stupendous. Benching the gun with Czech ammo, Im printing like 2 - 2.5 MOA average Id say. Some better, some worse...

Good on you, I love the 858. Its always a pleaser for new shooters to try because its big enough for them to have fun and cheap enough that they can shoot it alot.

I hope you know what you are doing.

yea, im fairly confident that i know how to handle a firearm...on a more relevant note, remember that it was with irons and everyone was new shooters, im not talking about individual shooting, i was getting better groups than that, under 10 inches was the whole group which is amazing if you think about it,around 80 rounds fired. and they had never shot before, so id say messing around, a bunch of new shooters is not too shabby so don't worry about it too much

You dont have to explain away the size of your groups to the never-ending expert marksmen out there.

Go out and have fun with your rifle. I think it is a perfect quad / camping rifle!

Enjoy!
