Another CZ858 rust question....Hammer Stricker

Hey guys,
Bought this from the EE. Seller ensured there was no rust. All the rifle is super clean, but theres this rusty looking color on the hammer Stricker. I thought it was odd to find rust on this part, but nowhere else...
Im new to this rifle, so looking for advice. Is this rust? Anyone one else with this issue? What the best way to get rid of it?

Does it flake off at all? Judging by the pics it almost looks like that's how the steel wore away causing that color.

i don't think it rust seem to be some paint or anything else ,

if the gun is working shoot it ! i don't think that thing will change anything

It looks like that's just how the steel is now after being used. If its smooth and some solvent and elbow grease can't take it off I'd say your good to go!

Mine looks about the same and I've got no rust at all, it looked like that when it was new. I wonder if its the result of some kind of tempered treatment or something.

Now that you mention tempering, the notches on my extension tube for my benelli looked discolored like that when I bought it and I was freaking out, I believe you may be correct.

Thanks for the help. I was worried because he mentionned that he shot about 2000 rounds of corrosive. No rust on the bolt or chamber or anything. I was just worried that this might spread or get worse. Thanks again.

Could be beacuse of the way it was heat treated. Not rust dont worry.

That's how they all look. Could be the composition of the steel, heat treating etc. Its not rust.

Nope nothing wrong with that color. Actually it's not even rust. They have a wierd type of blueing agent that they used that gives that look to the metal. My FSN that came from Marstar looked just like that color before Arma-Coat got his hands on it. The only thing that looks really odd is how much groves on it. but hell if it was barrely used I could see it takeing a while to smooth out.
