I am a survivor, no one knows what I have been through... and I don't care to share.. but I know now, I can survive !
All that is missing is the disco ball and Gloria Gainor
All kidding aside, I also did a survival course in the cadets and also enjoyed winter camping in college.
My first reaction to this poll was somehwat like mommabear's comment: Hmmmmm? Peace and quiet? That is what it felt like being left in the woods to make your shelter etc, etc. A rather zen experience. The kind that you do not want to leave.
But then there's the food issue over a prolonged period of time and most importantly why you're lost or left out in the woods (ex. like the previous comment you might have slipped into a creek...then broken a leg, are far from your gear, cannot move, then die from your injuries and hypothermia, etc...).
