another fiberglass stock post

If i were to purchase a fiberglass stock from say..... numrich, what metal parts would need to be re-fitted/added.

they say it includes the front cap and front swivel, but what about the action cradle or whatever it is called?

How would I get it out of the wood stock without tearing the stock to peices if I need it?

You do not need the stock liner in the fiberglass M-14 stocks.

The only modification that is really necessary, is to build up the area around the op-rod retaining pin to keep it from working out while firing. There are instructions in the M-14 stickey on how to do this.

Other than that, the rifle just drops into the stock and you are good to go.

Numrich would not ship me a fiberglass stock because they are an M-14 part.

Crossing my stubby fingers on an order submitted yesterday including M14 tools and parts. It may be a small box with an I'm sorry to inform you letter, but all they can do is say no.

The short butplate screw that comes with the Norinco is a wood screw. To make it fit, I glued a golf tee inside the hole then screwed it into that. Maybe not the best way to do it, but I didn't want to mess around trying to find a proper screw.

Numrich also sells FG stocks for the M1A The girl on the order desk got a chuckle out of that one.
