Another First

First time today shooting a .50 Desert Eagle.

What a bang. Gun was very heavy and bulky, but the blast was enough to remember forever.

Only fired one shot since ammo is expensive, but still....was a nice guy to let me try.

He offered another member too, but he declined to shoot it. Unlike me, who when he offered I could best be described as a 'fat kid on a smartie'

Congrats. I think everyone should try all guns at least once, though I find it a novelty handgun cartrige for Canadians cause you can't hunt with it.

Question: What the #### was the guy who refused's reason for not wanting to fire it?

I bought a box of 50AE a few years back when I was at the Wild West Shooting Centre @ West Ed Mall in Edmonton...... if memory serves it was $80(ish) for 20rnds

It is a hell of a blast to shoot that DE. I recall my hand feeling a bit used up after, but the grin was ear to ear!

I got to shoot a DE in 44mag in Vegas this summer, that POS jammed after every round, again the grinning!

I've always wanted to get one since, but I just can't seem to get the money together & justify the cost.
