Another G22 thread

We need Red Star to post a pic of him and his G22 with Steven Harper at the range. I'm sure he has one, he's just to modest to post.

FWIW the latest FaRT discs in circulation predate the CFC's interpretation that the G22s stock is a prohibited device, and so are without value. Those who have attempted to transfer G22s have reported on their recent efforts, so the position of the CFC is known. Until the challenge to the interpretation is complete, the G22 status is in limbo.

I had her out to the range yesturday, and DAMN, is she workin sweet after I had the receiver remanufactured and built 10x stronger :)

VIDEO - .WMV - 9.13MB

It's getting outfitted with a grenade launcher and fake silencer soon. More pics and videos shortly.

I got the launcher all installed :)

There's a metal plate inside the forearm that runs the full length. The launcher is bolted to it in 4 places so it should be rock solid. It's converted from an airsoft G&P GP199 RIS model to obviously no RIS, just bolt on, and she shoots centerfire now :) It'll take real M203 rounds (using .38S&W blanks), and I've made an adapter to screw in TruFlare Pen Launcher style centerfire Bear Bangers :D, so look for some more fully legal HE M203 videos soon ;)

The short barrel is a perfect fit for how she's now, and the longer barrel will go well with the fake silencer.

Did you purchase it (G22) recently?
Nopers. I had one of the 1st ones into the country :)

did you get hastled by the RCMP for using it after the stupid letter?
Nope, and I never got a letter, nor have I ever seen a letter (scanned, in person, etc). I was told by my class action lawyer to IGNORE the letter if I did get one (it was said to give you 30 days notice to turn in the lower rear portion of your stock for destruction, as it was a prohibited item). When I brought it to the 1st EESA open house I wanted to make sure that everything was fine because the SHTF just a week before with the whole G22 bullpup prohib thing. They (RCMP firearms technicians) said: "Because a court challenge/class action was filed in contradiction to our interpretation and a cease and desist is in order, you are free to use it as any regular non-restricted rifle untill the court decides who is right."
"Can I get that in writing?"
"Nope."

Does your registration papers say non-restricted on it?
Yes, as does everyone elses. It's only the lower rear plastic portion of the stock that is prohib as they see it now (but it's really not, but I won't get into that now, it doesn't make the rifle shorter, blah blah). I don't think the status of the rifle will ever change, just might have to turn in the part of the stock in question.
