Pic from our last hunt out here in the flat lands. I believe the final tally was 35 geese and 5 ducks. Already sent our first load of meat to the butcher. If things carry on like this won't be much room left in the freezer! :cool:

Awesome - Congrats! I was out this weekend up north and the weather was horrible. Constant downpour. Of the five hunting spots we went to we saw 5 geese and maybe 4 ducks. I managed to get one duck while we were out partridge hunting in the afternoon on the trails. Never even saw a single partridge. I hope my next outing is better.

Colder weather has arrived we've had two colder nights. One was around zero the other got down as low as -8 and wouldn't ya know it right on cue thousands of Canada's, Speckled, and Snow's show up. Got a full hunt with the group the next two mornings and harvest is all but done. Bring on the birds!

Harvest is done? You must have been a very good boy in your previous life. A lot of the guys I know may be riding their combines well into November. It's been a miserable year from start to finish.
