Another i got my first sks thread

Well after a few months of seeing all your guys sks's and getting the chance to shoot one I decided i wanted one but im impatient and didnt want to wait to get one shipped to me.Nosale sports never had them in stock and wouldnt order one and well the ee here is fine and dandy if I wanted to pay $500 for a tapco raped sks so i wondered into north pro and asked if they had any....yup sure enough 30 of em or so well long story short im $218 closer to the poor house and I have a new toy.Well new can of skoal and a couple beer im set to pull this nasty sticky sob apart and clean her.

russian,now that I have one I kinda want another to tapco f**k it,anyway here she is nothing special Im not going to do anything with it except a wolf spring kit it looks good the way it is

a buddy came over to check it out he has a couple of these things and he said the wood was one of the nicest he's seen in awhile,sorry for the i phone pics and thanks for the reply guys

Aaaah,another one got the SKS virus...sorry,you're a lost case from now on-this virus usually eases a bit off when you have like 5 or so SKS in the gunlocker...but it makes you still carve for more! (I am a collector of old shotguns,maybe I was...'cause right now I'm selling some shottys to finance my sixt SKS)
BTW,Your buddy's right:haven't seen a factory wood that nice for a while!

Nice birch stock, don't Tap it. IMHO, the only SKS rifles that are suitable for "Tacticool" modding are the "D" or "M" versions, because they will accept an AK mag.

I agree the SKS looks great just as is and that my friend is a great looking Rifle....nice score! Just remember to leave room for the other future SKS's you are sure to get... it is hard to just stop at one.

Once you get that cosmoline crap off (brake cleaner worked great for me) polish up the bolt carrier with a metal polish like "Autosol" from Cdn Tire and it will make a nice shine to compliment the wood. Just a suggestion.

yup they have a big case of them,they'll let you hand pick yours if you ask

I got a damn blister from playing with it while watching the walking dead that mag release is tight! New spring and extended mag release are in my future
