Ive had this stripped FKF Garand receiver for about 10-12 years so I finally decided to build it I started rounding up parts about 2 months ago and finished it today

NOS SA bolt
NOS SA barrel 1965 dated 30.06
lightly used SA trigger group
used SA op rod
used SA stock
mixed rear sight

Im going to shoot it this sunday so being bored and excited I loaded up 8 dummy rounds to play around with

I loaded the clip inserted it it clipped into place and bolt did not close so far so good pulled oprod back and forth all 7 rounds fed and ejected nicely the 8th round feed but did NOT eject which also prevented the clip from ejecting ive tried this about 10 times same thing every time

sorry for sideways pic.... the cartridge base it jammed between receiver and the clip exact same place every time brand new AEC clip

any ideas? or do I just have to actually shoot it to see if it functions?

Try a few different en blocs and see what happens.

Other possibilities might include a worn/defective clip ejector, clip latch or op rod catch.

The rifle should eject all rounds plus the empty en bloc when cycled by hand.

Thanks the clip latch and spring and pin and op catch catch were all NOS I do have a new clip ejector spring and several different clips I will try on Sunday
