Finally got me a Steyr M95 in 8x56R. Finish is worn but full of history, slightly frosted bore but plenty of strong rifling, wood show the usuals scars of life. The M95 bolt is very simple, the unlocking process is not as smooth as my 1910 Ross but after fews times, i got used to it. I got some 1938 nazi marked vintage ammo but i will keep them unfired, unless i come across fews more but soon i should have dies, brass and the proper size bullets to make good reload. I love thoses longs rifles:)

Nice rifle. I hear they are much more pleasant to shoot than the little stutzens.

If you don't mind answering, who'd you buy it from?

When you take the bolt out, and it is "cocked" like in the pic, it can snap shut and you could lose some hide.

Yes i know but that one stay in place nicely but i keep skin away just in case:p

I used to own several of these. Fun rifles to shoot. The trigger pull on one of them though had to be like 25lbs.:p
This one doesn't seem too bad, they are well made rifle:)

So all of a sudden everyone is getting a Steyr? :D

Still working out the details on my side, but in all likeliness a carbine in 50r should be coming my way. Dang milsurp fellows, making it so difficult for me to resist temptation.
