Another new .338, this one for the CZ 527 ?

I've heard that CZ is planning to release a new .338 designed for medium to large game and chambered in the model 527 later this year. The CZ USA website shows several animals including wildebeest and gemsbok taken by Jason Morton of CZ-USA with a 527 carbine in a 338 wildcat chambering. I saw a clip of a show on WILD TV today where Jason said this will come out in 2010.

Does anyone know what this new cartridge is ? Maybe a necked up 7.62X39 ?
 
Well, it'll be nice and trim, that's for sure. Not sure how far below the 338 Fed a person wants to go, but with the good bullets available it could be interesting. Kinda 33 WCF in a bolt gun.

What show did you see it on? CZ sounds like Peterson's Hunting TV. I try to keep an eye out for anything in Africa. Shocking, I know. :D
 
Do you mean the little mini bolt action? That's interesting if it is because they make a lefty action in 223.

The 7.62X39 is interesting in that action. A similar 338 would make a nice round for handloaders.
