Looks like a nice design and high quality product.

The price will definitely exclude a lot of buyers. But in the any market it has to be produced for the amount that makes it profitable to the producer. So while I can’t justify the expense myself, I’m glad there are still innovative quality products being made for those who can afford it. And it can even spark competition from others in the same market.

Looks awesome Z06corvette!

So I'm assuming you use the little bottom Phillips wood screw and the top take-down factory bolt?

What holds the sliding mechanism in place, I mean, does this piece just slide out when the magazine is not in place?

Thanks in advance......:)

Thunderhog you are correct about the attachment.

The sliding piece is captured when the bottom piece is mounted to the stock, I lightly lubed the guide surfaces during assembly.

Thank you!....:)

Did your plate fit inside the original cut-out of the factory tin plate?

It appears yours is sitting on the top of the factory stock, not inside the inletting. Can you confirm?.........:)

Ordered one yesterday. I figured it's cheaper than buying a new rifle. The standard release and bottom plate is so aggravating on my otherwise accurate and attractive Savage Mark II Minimalist. Can't wait to try out the replacement release.

Please let us know how you like it......:)

Pictures would be an awesome bonus!

You must have a $20 tasco scope on yours, and have never looked at putting a magazine system into a Remington 700, an aftermarket slide on a Glock 17, or changed out of the tupperware "synthetic" stock on a hunting rifle.... :runaway:

The Mark II is one of the most commonly used rifles in Rimfire PRS.

:nest:
Actually I have a fixed 4x power (Simmons) scope on my Mark II they were out of Tasco scopes when I bought it.

Any idea if this will be available for 22 mag in the future
Not currently in the plans or project list, we initially looked at the 93r17 (same action, different magazine) and it posed additional complications. Perfect world we wanted one product that would work for both, but sadly can't happen.

Thank you ATRS for this clarification.......:)

Will this current Savage Mark II Enhanced Magazine Release work on a Savage Mark II FVSR model with the synthetic stocks?

Thank you in advance for your response!

I see it will fit the Minimalist wood stock 22 LR and 17 Mach 2 versions.

I was able to make one fit on a synthetic stock. I think I had to leave the factory base plate on and the put the ATRS release over top. Works flawlessly!
