Another newbie from Calgary

Good day to one and all.
As the title say I'm a newbie to this site, been lurking around for a few weeks, so I thought I'd say hi. However I am not a newbie to most aspects of this incredable sport, I've been around various long guns most of my life but have just started in to the world of hand guns with the purchas of a sig 229 and a S & W. I look forward to many more hours of of information and laughs on this site.

along with this, grab a holster and mag pouches if you dont have them and come shoot IDPA with us at ATHL!

there are a few of us shooting the 229, me included so lots of company and its great fun

I picked it up at Pro line shooters and its a 0.40 cal and you got me on the support part I honestly have no idea what your asking?

Yeah, I was asking what kind of holster, magazines, magazine carriers and belt were you going to run with it...

Proline is a good place to buy a gun, those guys are alright. Hey, did you go to Spolumbo's while you were down there? Great panninis. :O

no I don'y have any of that yet as I still need more education regarding what kind for what, and what will work for me, Also I have not done any kind of holster course yet which if I am not mistaken I need before I can draw a loaded gun. I'm still at the go to TSE and send 400 odd rounds down range trying to perfect groupings, consistency and stance.

Welcome to the forum 2LabsAB, Use those 400 rounds for your IPSC or IDPA training course. Either will teach you save gun handling and some technique.

Welcome! If you're going to be just using holster at TSE, the next course is October 21 and 23 (6-9pm) Otherwise look into one of the official training courses... they're more expensive but good pretty much anywhere (TSE course is club exclusive)
