Yes yes I know. "Shouldnt have bought Norinco."

Issue I am having is as the slide comes forward, sometimes it takes the hammer with it.

Basically after I fire a round, sometimes the hammer does not reset. Basically have to fire it in dual action most of the time.

Happens at the range with live ammo, at home with snap caps and at home dry.

I have taken it apart several time looking for the issue, but can not seem to find anything wrong.

Anyone have any ideas?

Rack the slide all the way back and release it, hammer stay back? , then maybe slide not going back far enough to #### the hammer, when firing.
lighter main / slide spring may help, or rails are rough. not as a rule . Factory ammo, or reloads?
If the hammer follow the slide, sear bad, hammer bad, or sear spring could need replacing.
That is the usual reasons. Hard to fix guns when can't see them.

Slide taking hammer with it, That don't happen.
It is the sear is not holding the hammer back.

Would not be surprised somebody tried to do a trigger job - hammer - sear and screwed it up.
If that gun has many rounds into it, check hammer pin..they wear put and create slop between hammer and sear.

Hammer stays back sometimes when I rack and release. If I release and guide it back slowly hammer always stays back. Factory ammo. Thanks for the input.

Never give money to the enemy. Never.

If you do, you deserve to be scammed.

As you type that with your computer or phone/tablet that is full of parts made in China. Your kitchen appliances are full of electronics that come from China. You pay taxes to the Liberal party everyday. Don't give me that crap man. And thank you for the very helpful post about the issue I am having with my firearm.

If it's new, you would be in the right to send it back. It shouldn't have left the shop like that. If you want to work on it:

There's a long list of possible causes. Have you done a complete disassembly and clean? Hopefully it's just really gunked up from the factory, preventing things from moving properly.

Parts-wise, I'd check the sear spring for tension and correct install.

The frames can be pretty rough, too, which could also prevent fire control from moving properly. If cleaning and tweaking the sear spring doesn't fix it, I'd lightly stone the sliding surfaces of the frame and the fire control parts (excluding the sear/hammer engagement).

I have not been having that problem with mine mp34 the only problem I had was when it was being shipped someone took all the parts out and I source separately two magazines plus The recoil spring and the plug, if you want a different one to try gimme a message

Norinco has some decent products like the 1911s, but the NP 34 is probably not one of them. I bought a new np 34 and it was doing what you described so I sent it back for refund.

The key difference between buying a pistol and buying the other stuff (or paying taxes) is that, with the pistol, one has a choice (hundreds of them, in fact). In whatever I have a choice, I buy from North America or Europe. Chinese? Back to the shelf it goes.

With that said, I was too harsh in "you deserve to be scammed". You do not. I apologise for that.

Thanks everyone for the help. I will sit down this weekend and try to figure this out. Will post a update on what I find (if anything).
