So, ever since I first saw pictures of the Cooey model 82 up on teh interwebz years a go I knew I had to have one for my self.
Then this weekend came and the gun show in Grande Prairie started up, met up with a fella that was looking for some M1 parts that I had, to finish a project and he had a Cooey 82, two actually.
We struck up a trade and one of those old Cooey"s came home with me
It is missing the peep site but everything else is in great shape, the bore looks like it just came out of the factory
There is a number stamped on the bottom of the pistol grip on the stock and a inspectors numbered mark with a C Broad arrow.

Now the model 60 that I picked up four years ago wont be lonely anymore, the start of a nice collection.

I tried a few rounds through it last night after I got home, mostly to check function. My next trip up to Peace River I will have to make a detour to the range to try out this old Cooey more thoroughly.
