Lou, another fine example of the time and pride you put into a rifle. I have a question for you though - how many Provinces and Territories have you sent the infamous 'Lou Enfields' to?

Hi there! Well, I didn't keep track, but from memory:

BC, Quebec, Manitoba, Nova-Scotia, Ontario; and maybe Saskatchewan but I'm not sure... I think that's it. I don't keep track of how many I refurb either; nust be more than 20 since I got stung by the bug...

Question on original picture - Is that buttplate from a nk1 mk3? I wasn't aware of no4 mk1's having a brass buttplate.

I think it was mostly (essentially?) LongBranch No4's that had alloy plates.

Most of the British made No4s had brass butt plates.
