Another piece of gear stolen from me

I'm still thinking of buying a trail camera for my area. like others have said. people steal anything and everything.

if any comfort...True Story!
A Police friend of mine had his "special needs" daughter's brand new Birthday bike stolen, on her Birthday, from their Gararge.
My Police friend kept watching the Kijiji ads. Saw it for sale, and drove to the guy's house. Asked him a few detailed questions.
The guy lied his face off. My friend (Cop), told him to turn around and put his hands behind his back.
My friend Cuffed Him quickly, and took him to the Police Station for theft.
Greates thing was his Daughter got the birthday bike back, AND the guy was snagged!
Hehehe!

Now if your friend and his compatriots would do the same for us mere mortals that'd be a start.

These threads are hilarious

Hunters = dont touch the things I leave unattended in the bush its not yours and you should not touch/use it

Also Hunters = this land is not mine but I want to be bale to use it without permission. Its not mine and I should be able to touch/use it

LOL

No, those are not hunters they are trespassers and ruin it for the many of us who actually have permission to use land. They are also more than likely the ones responsible for stealing cameras and other gear set up by the guy who actually has permission to be there. From hunting white tail to ground hogs to waterfowl and geese, I’ve had to kick people off of several properties who have no business being there. These people are terrible for the community and resource conservation.

I know the feeling...and feel for you!!! Eventually (it took me a while!) you come to realize that a significant portion of the population are only honest when they think someone is 'watching' them! Otherwise if they don't 'steal it' they will maliciously 'destroy it' .....certainly makes a strong case for compulsory sterilization of some people. On the other hand.....if it was across from 'Fairgrounds' maybe you caught someone(s) In the 'act' doing something they didn't want photographed....and they grabbed the camera!!

80% of thieves are driven by opportunity. Amazing more stuff like this isn’t stolen. Sucks though.

You need to read the thread on the recently proposed law is Sask that hunters are required to have permission

Here is one:

They deleted the one I was talking about, there was like 90 guys crying about how they have a right to use other peoples property. I just looked through all my post for the last 2 years and its not there any more

Shawn

That’s absurd.. I can’t believe people would actually be pissed off about that. In Ontario general trespassing laws (at minimum) would apply. I don’t know how anyone could believe it’s their “right” to hunt whatever property they please. Not to mention the safety aspect. I get confirming your target before pulling the trigger but I also know anywhere I’m hunting I should be one of two or three people there, the others being in my party.

Why??? Because its a fact of life....leave your shyt in the bush, it may go missing! :(

To think its totally safe and secure is only being naive.

These are the unfortunate facts of life, if Canada was a socially and culturally cohesive country it would be a lot like japan, but that will likely never happen.

Yep, but thats not how life works no matter how many times you say it or write it...do you leave money on the dash of your vehicle and the doors unlocked? Do you lock your home when leaving? Is the Bank left open unattended for days at a time? Hmmmm, I wonder why? Reality is not a hard concept to accept either...:(

Please let us know how many big buck pics you get on your trail cam while you stand there guarding it from thieves..... You are blaming the owners of trail cameras for them being stolen?

Just a warning to the trap setters, man traps are illegal and will land you time in jail. Just make sure you are setting up animal traps and not man traps.

Set up a bait cam that doesn’t function and a man trap, no need to ever go back. Just have to be sure the area doesn’t get any pass through traffic from kids etc etc.
