This pistol seems like it's what I have been waiting for in a polymer handgun my entire life. Seems to be what I have ever hoped for. Would be nice to see one Glock 19 size in the future.

Yes I am with you. There are a few pistols I would like to pick up but I fear even if individual transfers opened up, with the import restrictions and fear of the losses, not sure if dealers will bring a lot of stock in.

A lot of dealers brought in as much inventory as they could find just before the freeze. They took some pretty big chances of getting stuck with inventory but took the chance and I suspect did very well. I would expect it would be no different if things opened up again - but like pre-freeze we'd be paying premium prices for dealers to take that risk.
 
I think we'll be able to buy handguns in Canada again in the short future. If I'm wrong, well....there's always Mexico. The young guy that's now working with me in the gun department asked me "what should I buy if handguns come back?" I told him to strongly consider the S&W M&P 2.0 9-Metal simply because I'd like to play with one. I guess we'll see. It's just an M&P 2.0 9.....that's been thoroughly Miami Viced.

I was at Sportsman warehouse in WA over the weekend and handled one of the Competition models. And while I have had several M&Ps over the years which never managed to earn a permanant place in my collection, I think these one certianly would. Great balance and a decent trigger. I have always been a big fan of 1-3gen Smith autos but could never really get on board with their polymer guns.

One of these bad boys in 10mm would be awesome.
