Another pistol newbie advice needed

Don't get a Norinco 1911, some people have had good experiences but I have not. My ejector broke and I had to send it in for repairs. The Norinco np22/p226 clone on the other hand is one of the best sub $500 guns out there. Hard to find magazines though.

Obviously, not many revolver fans here.
I do own the GSG 1911 and the Ruger Mark III 22/45
but enjoy: Heritage Rough Rider SA (my first and $199) shoots .22 (all versions) and .22 mag
Then Ruger Single-six (all .22 and .22 mag) and Single-10 then
S&W 617 then on to centerfire, S&W 586 (.357 mag and .38 spl) and Ruger Blackhawk 357 mag /.38 spl and 9mm.
I enjoy all of them and do not believe that anybody can shoot a .22 without some recoil.
I do not feel that I need to prove anything by shooting larger calibres. I have shot them
and still do not feel the need (or want) to own them. Do what you enjoy shooting at paper.
It will be a looooooooooooong time before we're allowed to use handguns for any other purpose.
(I am not a prospector.)

I started with a 1911 colt back in the late eighties, have owned all kinds of pistols and revolvers, now I am looking at another 1911?? I just would stay away from the norc s, my thoughts..

I get lots of dry fire time with my Smith and Wesson 617, 686 and 629. They're works of art and so well made I can't take my eyes off of them. If you like revolvers I highly recommend the 617 or the 686 as a first pistol. They're worth every penny.

EASY answer get a 2nd hand CZ shadow 9mm Hands down the best. You will be so happy. The buckmark is your best bet for .22 for sure. Pick up the buckmark and the CZ and you will see the others can't compare

+1 Keep an eye on the EE there will be a ton on shadows for sale as everyone jumps on the shadow 2
