It may have been shot by a native, as reserve quite close, they are not bound by hunting seasons etc... Seems strange they would just take legs and leave meat to waste as not their way so I would think poached. DA_N IT...

mayby it was hit by a truck and someone cut the good legs and backstraps off of it .D

an animal that has been hit on the road and is still alive and you get a gun out and put it down you have broke the law by discharging a firearm off a roadway .i never heard of anyone being charged but there is always the chance.sounds to me that this animal was hit as it was on the road . not very likely it was shot on the roadway .

Really? So shooting a pregnant female moose and harvesting ONLY the nose and fetus isn't a waste? This is not uncommon in some areas such as the Saskatchewan/manitoba border. Absolutely disgusting practice.
