Hello Everyone,

I'm from Regina, have been shooting gophers for an number of years now, gonna start hunting 'heavy hard' starting this year with my Dad.

I'm glad I found a place where logic and common sense seems to be prevalent and where more like minded, lovers of liberty and freedom congregate.

I'm always up for shooting gophers or basically anything else (coyotes, badgers, other various shootable things).

Any suggestions on ranges or what associations I should give some money to would be appreciated...Thanks

Welcome LibertySon.

I cannot agree with your statement, "I'm always up for shooting gophers or basically anything else (coyotes, badgers, other various shootable things)."

As a responsible human being you should have a valid reason for hunting and killing anything. Because something can be killed does not always mean it should be killed. You'll grow up someday I hope.

Just trying to be light hearted! I live in Saskatchewan and there is an open seaon on gophers and coyotes (and where I go badgers are a problem for the livestock).

To Liberty Son... Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to learn, share ideas, and discuss common interests.
To Bobcat Logic... Your comments show anything but logic, and are less than inviting to a new member, who simply shows some enthusiasm for varmint hunting in his home territory. I do very little gopher or coyote shooting anymore myself, partly because of where I live, and partly due to other hunting and firearms related interest. I find it difficult to accept your moral judgement of someone else who enjoys such hunting. Think about it just for a minute. There is at least one good reason for the fact that some areas have open seasons on particular species...population control. If it happens to provide opportunities for hunting and shooting enthusiasts, so much the better. If you check the hunting regulations for some areas in B.C., you'll find very (may I use the word) "liberal" seasons and regs for shooting wolves. The reason of course, is that they are very populous in some areas, have had devastating effects on ungulate populations, and are a frequent cause of livestock loss. Speaking of growing up...

A valid reason for killing coyotes, gophers, and badgers is that they damage fields, endanger livestock and the fact that it is a freaking blast(get it a blast LOL).

Join the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation, they support our hunting rights, help with conservation programs, and you get a subscription to a cool magazine.

Welcome Fellow Flatlander! As mentioned in an earlier post, the SWF is a great association they do a lot to support hunters and sport shooters. There are several clubs in the Regina area that have great range facilities as well!
