Not really sure.
Hello everybody, I got my m37 back from the gunsmith he just had to clean the trigger assembly, and buff off some burs on the feeding arms. Anyway I have another question, theres quite a bit of slack in the breechblock, it has about an 8th of an inch of play back and forth before it hits the slide lock. Is this normal?. I'm edgy as when its fired off if its kicking the block back a bit and smacking it into the slide lock or possibly damageing something else.

I took mine out to have a look at it and I don't think thats the Breechblock that has play in it,it has to be the Breechblock carrier, and mine does the same thing.

If you take the barrel off and play with the slide you can see the Breechblock itself barely moves at all.

This is a great shootgun, you know John moses Browning and John Pedersen designed it.

Ok thanks for the info it makes me feel a little better. I'm just a little edgy as I just bought this gun for a very reasonable price, and wondering if there was a reason for it for one, she looks in excellent condition however, and reason two is it is missing the yoke, so im not sure if that has caused any damage over time.
