A 6.5x55 model 96. I mounted a Banner 3-9 I had, and shot it today. I really like this rifle. The #### on closing is a bit akward with the scope so close to the bolt handle, but doable. It shoots quite well with factory Federal 140 grain stuff. I got it about 2 inches high at 100, which is about perfect in my books.:wave:

can't this be modified to #### on opening???

Nice gun. I assume you have the original military bolt handle. I'd have a different (lower) bolt handle put on that bolt, remove the old rear sight mount, and lower the scope to no higher than "middle" rings ("low" if possible). Might have to remove a bit of wood from the stock to accomodate the new bend if you do it.
