Another SKS ruined by Bubba :P SKS Dragunov themed project.

I wish it shot as good as it looks, nice work :D

yah, im going to try it free floated possibly next week and see if that helps it harmonically. Bedding the action is fool proof, but barrel accurizing gets tricky for SKS rifles since there is no treatments out there besides deploying the bayonet or plugging the gas system that are proven to yield good results. The groupings are acceptable considering it was from cheap 25 cent ammo. I need to buy me some more quality ammo for accuracy testing.

If only the "new" T81 SR had this wood treatment/look.

I'm wondering how much work it would be.

I looked at the "restore" threads for Arctic Birch SKS (Minwax Red Oak).

Beautiful work on the stock, and good work overall.

I have a few SR stocks gen 1 and will probably do something with them. They don't have a nice colour and grain and the form should have been more defined - bigger and rounder hand guard, same with the stock, more form and nicer colour. More authentic.

Would definitely be interested in where he got that beautiful stock blank from. This is definitely inspiring me to do something wild myself.

Richards Microfitstocks Rosewood laminate blank shipped in from USA. I see Lamina based in Scandinavia now carrys rosewood laminate blanks as well.
