Another SKS ruined by Bubba :P SKS Dragunov themed project.

Couldn't resist the urge to go shoot it again, so I did another test the following day. This time i had no coffee and brought my shooting rest. Also drilled out the gas tube vents to the original size. I welded the factory ones shut and relocated them an 1" or more forward so the wood wouldn't get damaged . Now its ejection is satisfactory, 5ft to 3 o clock. The gun may suffer slightly from cold bore imprecision but its not too noticeable. Possibly 3" high from the subsequent group. Hard to test these things cus the barrel in summer conditions takes what seems like forever to cool to cold bore status. Thankfully once the barrel is warmed up the gun seems to pattern respectfully consistent for an SKS rifle shooting .25c rounds. The pictured target is the warm bore groupings. Barrel temp ranged anywhere from comfortably warm to have to let go after 3 seconds for these shots.

Why and how is roughly explained in the vids. Got to test her out today! Smooth shooting, the cheek weld is odd with ear muffs tho. Ejection can be toned down some more. It tosses brass about 10ft at 3 o clock. I will simply drill the 2 gas vent holes a size larger.

Weighs 10lbs without bipod and with an empty mag.

Unfortunately i forgot my rest this morning and didnt manage my morning diet lol i had waaaay too much coffee and thus had the shakes. Plus on top of that my heart was going pretty good from the anticipation of shooting the new setup. So the quick accuracy test i did suffered. Firing LCW non corrosive HPs the gun seems to pattern 5 shots around 3-4moa. Shooter error could literally + or - the group by 1.5 moa. Didn't notice any heat stringing! So thats a win. But the gun may suffer from a out of wack cold bore shot. Ill have to do further testing to confirm this.

This is the only BUBBA’D SKS that I like. Slick...I like it
