Didn't find anything with the search function.

Is the action durable enough to convert a 25-06 to 257WBY?
This sounds like barrel gets a minor ream and some bolt face involvement (cut or swap?), anything else I haven't though of?

The tube on a stevens 200 is only 22", you would be crippling a 257 weatherby to put it in a 22" barrel. I would get a 7mm mag stevens, for a donor gun, then get a 26" barrel threaded for the stevens, and chambered for 257 weatherby, and screw it on. This would save you money on bolt face changes (a new bolt head would likely be the cheapest option) magazine changes, and the rechambering cost. You could then save the 7mm barrel as a switch barrel option, or sell it for around $100 and recoup some costs. Or you could just buy a weatherby vanguard and get a bit better stock.
