Another succesfull Fake Silencer Project .

it is not that hard to remove the front sight... punch out the pins, heat it up a bit,
then tighten it in the vise, and start nocking it off...while constantly heating it up. you might need some help holding a blowtorch... avoid hitting the sight, make sure you have some wood or plywood between the sight and a hammer.... once it is off cover the bare metal with some anticorosion paint.

How hard was it to remove the front sight base? Having issues knocking off after removing the pins...anyone have to split theirs off somehow? Would heating it a bit help it come off easier? Also, I guess its bare metal underneath...how odd does it look with the enamel paint there ending well before the threaded end? How thick is the enamel paint? Thanks for the info!

guys.. i hear you.. no one likes the brake in front.... here is the thing...
when i did this i actually moded two CZs.. one mine, one my friends, so the one that belongs to my friend doesnt have the barrel clamp, so we used full length 245mm can, without any brake.. in both cases it turned out to be very solid... and although i did liked my friend's option better (no brake)... i still desided to wait till the first range trip, so we can compare the performance, and durability... So yes i agree. .. with No brake it does look ###ier ...
i'll let you guys know how both guns perform........

Thank you Sir!

I like it, not so much for the "can" effect; but I like it for the massiveness. It's like a bull-barrelled match-target 858. The brake looks just fine.
Not that I'm dissing the 'can' effect, I like that too. I just might make-up something like that someday (and dream of the day our government comes to its senses and allows (encourages even!) sound moderators.
