Before anyone complains about me not searching, I've searched plenty. Thats part of the problem, I keep finding new options.
I already have 2 shotguns, but they aren't really suited for what I want to do. I have an Ithaca M37 sans disconnector w/ 28" barrel and fixed full choke and a CIL621 w/ 26" barrel fixed IC.

I would like to hunt mostly turkey and some deer with it. It likely won't see much use on upland game or waterfowl. It would be nice if I could lend it to a buddy when doing some informal bush league clay shooting. I'm thinking a 21-24" smoothbore barrel w/choke tubes would be pretty much ideal for turkey, and would function for clays.

I was looking at the remington 870 turkey (don't think it comes w/ extra choke tubes but they're easy to find, and I could pickup a rifled barrel for deer) or the baikal/rem spr autoloader (comes with all the necessary chokes).

The 153/453 is available w/ a 24" barrel, but I can't seem to find any dealers stocking it, and I cant find any slug barrels(not necessarily a big deal, I can use rifled slugs in a smooth bore). It is an autoloader though, and seeing as I already have 2 pumps it might be nice to try.

I'm not even all that sure I want a 12 gauge, and 20 gauge might be alot better to carry around.

Basically, what I'm trying to say, is that I'm not really sure what I want/need and I need your advice and opinions.

EDIT: Forgot to add, I'd rathe get a 3" chambered model, 3.5" seems pointless for my purposes

have you cruised through the EE lately there have been some really good deals pass through in the last while.

I would be leaning toward the autoloader, it seems to have surpassed all of the torcher test. we've all seen the videos.

As far as 12 vs 20. 20 gauge is all the rage right now for hunting turkey and it is sure proven to work quite well, you just need to call them in 5 yards closer.

Why can't you buddy buy his own gun?

My hunting buddy doesn't have a PAL just his hunting license(but hes working on it). I also have a few friends who like shooting but couldn't be bothered to get their licenses

Have you tried Epps? see the above links.

Just make sure, if you are going to be sharing guns with unlicensed shooters, you are only allowed to have one gun per license holder uncased at a time.

Thanks SPcamno. I had already checked Epps, they're kinda pricy. Lebarons has it on special but as you say not in stock.

Didn't know i could only have one gun uncased at a time, just thought I had to be in direct supervision. Not like theres a huge police presence in the bush anyways...
