another (*$&* what to buy question

Having been a Glock shooter for years, now I shooting a SIG P226, I still love the Glock, but I have never shot an all around better gun then the P226, but that is for me, you may be different. I think that the P226 is a great gun, it is built well, relaible and super accurate.
I would second this comment. The P226 is possibly the best all-around gun out there. It's one of the few handgun designs that doesn't have any real weaknesses or drawbacks.

Dry fired a P226 (Navy edition) in a store last week.

Thought the trigger was clunky and mecanical (sorry to all sig P226 owners out there!). Even compared to my old CZ 85, it still felt like a "volkswagen manual transmission". Clunky and distant.

Does it get better in time?

Just my 2 cents.
Keep the STI.
Delay your instant gratification urge.
Why trade down for a lesser pistol?
You've got time to feed the addiction.
The AR will still be there,in a couple of months.
That STI is a beauty!
I own two of them and couldn,t comprehend parting with them.

The sad reality is that the CZ's have one of the better triggers out there despite costing 2/3 what a P226 costs. Since you're a single action guy, you're probably better off with a CZ, Gunnar works on them too :D
