Anschütz 54 rebarreling

I'm looking for a serious benchrest gunsmith in Canada that also does rimfire rebarreling jobs: do you have any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

I don't know of a smith in Canada that specializes in RF. Guntech(Dennis Sorensen) has done rifles for the silhouette guys out here that are superb jobs.

Ron Smith in Wimborne AB. He makes the very best Rimfire rifle barrels available. I have one on my Remington 580 (single shot) and can readily print sub-MOA (usually .625-.875) 10 round groups at 100 yards using ELEY Tenex. I highly recommend his barrels and services.

A consideration that you may have made is for a press fit as per the original or a threaded receiver and barrel. Benefits of both methods .

I already have both (a press fit Hart and a threaded Schneider) and the Hart shoots better. I know it doesn't only have to do with the method the barrel is fixed to the action but considering the added cost and also the fact that so many others 54 shoot so well with press fit barrels, I think I will stick to that.

I've done business in the past with Sorensen and he did a first class job. Thanks for your opinion !
