Hi guys,

Yesterday I bought a nice old Anschutz 1418 ... the one with the double-set trigger and the Mannlicher stock ... to go with the CIL/ Anschutz 310 that I bought new in 1972.

Just a quick question about the trigger (and it is a hair-trigger!) ...

The adjusting screw for the trigger is currently protruding downward a good quarter-inch into the trigger guard ... into the space between the front trigger (the hair trigger) and the rear trigger (the setting/cocking trigger.)

It's not in the way or anything ... it just looks a little weird. I downloaded the manual and there are instructions and a photo of it being adjusted with a small screwdriver, but that doesn't answer my question of what it should like like when things are all set. Many thanks!

Field-test ...

Wow ... awesome little rifle.

I spent about an hour today crawling-around and (occasionally) through assorted horse and cow poo ... and that rifle was awesome. Forget the must-be-free-floated stuff ... today it did not matter.

As long as I could get my range-estimation close-to-OK ... and I often did not (it's springtime) ... no problem.

No bulls**t-bragging though ... most shots were 40 - 50 yards.
