Anschutz 1451 Sporter Target

I was given this rifle as a gift today.
.It is in new condition,the owner having shot it only twice.
He put on an Anschutz set of adjustable sights,but I will be picking the rifle up on Saturday,so can,t tell you which set he put on till I actually take possession of it..
I know the rifle comes with a 5 shot clip.
I only shoot handguns,but couldn,t say no to this nice gift.
I will go out to the range on the odd day and do some plinking with it.
Anyone own one of these.
I believe it is an entry level rifle..correct?
All pertinent knowledge welcome.
My Lord....I have now crossed over from the handgun forums
into the rifle area.

Good looking piece of hardware! The Anschutz product line is built in steps: the action is either single shot or magazine; change the stock and barrel to suit every need from very casual sporting rifle to club competition rifle to specialized competition rifle. For running game targets and biathlon they are almost the only models available. All Anschutz rifles are inherently accurate with a great reputation for quality.

The 64 action is easy to care for, just don't go dry firing it!
I have been told that it is okay to dry fire Anschutz rifles by some people . but it is not a good idea IMHO, I have seen a few of them them messed up that
way.

Yup, I put a fired case into my rimfires when dry fire training and rotate the case with every few pulls of the trigger.

I don,t think the 1541 has the 64 action.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm a handgun shooter.
All I know so far is that it doesn,t come with rear Bo Mar adjustables.
I picked it up on Saturday and it is quite nice.
It has a set of adjustable Anschutz peep sights on it with the interchangeable front inserts.
I'll try shooting it like this,but may set up a scope on it for a 100yds.
Rifles are new to me,so it's learn as I go.
Keep the replies coming guys.
