Hi guys, I just bought a Anschutz 64 Match at an auction. It had a bubba'd stock, but I bought it anyway. Once I got it home and started stripping the varathane off it, it kept getting uglier and uglier. Ugly I can live with, but it has split vertically through the fore end, probably from being too dry. What are my options? Replacement, probably the best option, has anyone seen a laminated target style stock that would work? Maybe I can find a factory stock somewhere. If there isn't a replacement available I'll have to try to repair it.

Robertson Composites here in Canada has some great stocks. Rumour has it he's inletted a few Anschutz actions. It's not however a cheapo solution.

How handy are you? Ever inlet a stock before?

If so, you might give a call to Richard @ www rifle-stocks com to order a blank

He makes some nice (affordable )stuff... as long as you are not in a hurry to get it ;)

Gunparts lists Anschutz 64 stocks. They only have left handed stock right now. Sit down. $247.55US. OUCH!!!
Depending on how bad the split/crack is, epoxy glue, in one of the needle applicators, and a clamp should fix it. If you can close it with a clamp. Otherwise, just fill it with epoxy bedding material.
