Well, I got a chance to sneak out and shoot a few groups with my "new to me" Anschutz 54 Match [Thanks, Diver] I hung a Leupold 6.5-20 EFR on it and did a sight-in. I fired 10 - 5 shot groups at 50 meters on a day when the wind gusted to 20+ kph. Still managed to see some very respectable groups.
I shot Eley Match EPS, Eley Tenex, RWS Match Rifle, Lapua Super Club and Lapua Midas M. The average groups size for the 10 groups was .29" I feel this is pretty good, considering conditions, with one group a big .68" and one at .35" (4 in .15") I shot my 40X also, but only three groups as a comparison in the wind. It averaged .28" for the 3 groups. My 504 HB fared a bit worse, but it has a heavier trigger, and is harder to "wish" the shot away at the right moment It's average for 3 - 5 shot groups was .38" If it had been calm, there would have been some very fine groups, I'm sure. Waiting for a calm day now to go to 100 & 200 meters. Regards, Eagleye.

I have a 54 as well mine is an Savage/Anshutz - 54 with the barrel band, I have a number of high quality .22 rimfires, the only one that is comparable for Accuracy is a Sako P94 S both these rifles will shoot under an inch at 100M.

I shot two consecutive 5 shot groups at 200 meters with my 40X that measured under 1 inch. [Calm morning, nice conditions]. Ammo was Eley Black Match. I had a Sako P94S as well, it couldn't keep up to the big boys. I have recently acquired a Suhl 150, so am anxious to try it for comparison. Regards, Eagleye

Very nice shooting in challenging conditions with 20click gusts. I am planning on shooting my newly restocked 40x tomorrow. I've just recently started shooting the precision matches with the group that Jordan shoots with in Parksville. They shoot bench and I shoot prone F-class.
I've also started shooting with the lads from the VISL. Some shoot T/R and others shoot bench. In March they shot high power and I shot the RF 40x.
High score was a 598 on a 300m ISSF target scaled for 100yd. I ended up about mid pack with a 577. The windy rainy day ended with snow coming down sideways. A real challenge for those 40grn leads.
April 11th is the next Precision match - can't wait!
