Anschutz 64 Tactical Trainer

Don't matter how good a shooter one is, if the equipment is only good for .2's and .3's, you ain't hittin' .1's on the regular  Much as we love to pretend our factory rifles are laser beams "if we do our part", they aren't, and they limit your potential. An exceptional factory rifle may produce .1's and .2's as an average, but usually if you seek such accuracy, custom builds with match chambers, tuners, and lot tested ammo are required. These are physical equipment limiters that no amount of shooter skill can overcome, you must have capable equipment to achieve such performance. Anschütz cuts a great chamber for a factory rifle, but Lilja Match, EPS Match, and custom gunsmith designs are yet another step above.

Shooters of a certain skill level certainly will be held back by the average Anschütz factory rifle. :) I don't feel like I've shot a rifle yet that wasn't holding me back to a degree. We must remember the .22LR cartridge we cherish so dearly is fraught with inherent accuracy issues that centerfire shooters would have no patience for. They laugh at our 1/2" at 50 yard challenge saying "we do 1/4" at 100".

For those that want to buy a rifle like this and focus on shooting groups at 50 yards , honestly , you probably should have bought a different rifle .

I see your point now, this certainly isn't a rifle I would buy. I don't do that kind of "tactical" shooting and really, I don't think this one looks good....

When you get that custom barrel on your MS R, we will anticipate consistent .1's at 50 yards.;) Of course, the ammo will continue to be a weak link. And there's always room for a better rest and bags, a better scope, more wind flags, a better bench, better shooting glasses ...
