Maybe with all of the original paper work they go for a bit more, but most that I have seen in dealers shops over the last few months have all gone for no more that $500-$650, mind you they don't last to long.

There is also the issue of use. But that will be clarified shortly.

I finally had the chance to shoot the Exemplar. I shot it off a rest with open sights at 25 yards. The trigger is sweet, as would be expected. The groups were nothing to write home about. I think the Exemplar would be well-served by a scope.

What magnification range is recommended for a gun like the Exemplar?

Burris makes a few good EER scopes, I have a 3x on one of my Exemplars.

I have tried rifle scopes, but the eyebox is so small.

12X is the limit for a handheld unsupported imho

I doubt I could hold it very steady. I was thinking of shooting it off a rest or perhaps a bipod.

Feels a little awkward with a rifle scope, and your face that close, but it is doable.... be careful of your bags... i have shot a set by not watching where the barrel was... and I ended up blowing holes in a protektor front....
