depending on a response I'm waiting for, I'm thinking of getting both of these.

what are the thoughts on them?

reviews on the M22 are good with it needing cleaning every 400 or so rounds or it starts to malfunction. the price difference on the Anschutz vs ISSC on the rifle is $100, so I'll pay the difference for German engineering. just working on confirming availability of mag's, as I'd want to have at least 5 for each gun (which reminds me...need to get some more 10 round rotaries for my 10/22's).

I think the ISSC is very cool and looks like a baby Glock and hope it's better than SIG's mosquito..

They tend to be very picky on ammo as well so if your looking to shoot any kind of ammo I would look elsewhere..

hmmm. is there proven history of what they like? I've got lots of CCI ammo...10K Velocitor, 2500 Stinger and 3000 Tactical.

One of those things with 22 semis but in my experience CCI mini mags seem to cycle the slides on these type guns as good as any..but they can be frustrating trying to find what they like with FTF and failures to extract..

hey JR, I'll have to look into the RX22 more, but from everything I'm reading on the forums, the first M22's had issues, North Sylva fixed them under warranty and everyone loves their gun now.

so many guns to get...so little money. :(

I bought an anshurz rx22 about a year ago and a issc about 6 months after. All I can say is 100% anshutz... it runs through thousands of federal rounds in -30c wiout a hiccup. The issc is a different story.. it loves to jam, a sleeve over a thin barrel, no reliablity. Save yourself the money and just get the anschutz... imo.

My MSR RX22 has killed 1000 gophers this year already and most of those were 1 shot kills at 40 to 70 yards. With the right ammo it will print just over 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards in perfect conditions using a rear bag and bipod. The only objection I have with it is the complexity of the bolt system and the fact that it is not designed to be taken apart frequently. My Rock Island Armory MIG22 is just as accurate but way simpler to clean. The RX22 does win on cool factor though . Check out the website that Jackrabbit000 recommended.

Watch out for early rifles.

Mine was known to be defective by Anschutz (according to new recent correspondence between the seller and Anschutz). They did nothing to inform about it until my rifle slowly fell apart. The last of a series of problems for me was a cracked bolt casing. Sorry for the gigantic pic.

Apparently newer rifles have a number of updates but make sure you check with the seller that this is the case.

Other than this...
Pros: Accurate, cool factor
Cons: Hard to take apart to clean, gets dirty fast (it is a 22 after all), expensive.
