ANSCHUTZ Questions

Yes, with what Tesro is offering for the price, I don't think it's worth trying to buy parts and do it yourself.

I can't speak to twist rate to much. I only shoot out to 200 and all mine are 1-16, I had a 1-12 that shot on par out to that distance.

Some new products are better but some other considerations are:

Overall weight.
Magazines . . . are they readily available or was this another change with this model.
It normally takes a few years before all the kinks are taken out of new products.
Scope sight mounting systems and rails.
Bolt throw and will a low mount be too low for bolt function.

With the proliferation of new products, many are never seen at our shoots.
Changes from one model to the next and year to year is impossible to keep up with.
Short of camping out at your gun to try and see what the shooting public is using.

Do not rely on what the last person said. Rifles that put all the bullets in one hole might be a reference to the hole in the barrel.

Since a lot of my shooting is with a bipod, the SCHNABEL fore end is a pain. Classic stocks with a stud meet my needs. Barrel lengths have to be considered.

Further to my previous entry . . . the magazine for the 1761 is straight versus a curved version for the 1710/1712 and the 1416.
Pictures were on the Anschutz News Letter and the price shown was 109 Euros. Something to consider.

I own an older match 54. If I was to buy another Anschutz I would like to try the newer 1761 action in the silhouette stock. I would choose that over the 64 action. The 64 action always reminds me of the old cheap Cooey bolt actions even though I know they are better.

I think im going to go w a tesro build.

They have -40 moa rails.

How much is that guna mess me up for smacking gophers? I imagine it will just rise to zero faster

Nvm they sold out of their build, So will likely just go with a 457 in a stock. I think the CZ can keep up with the annie (or at least preform to what im looking for) if I feed it well!

Whatever CZ you go with you can easily upgrade later. 40 moa rail is overkill unless you plan on shooting ultra long range or your scope has very little elevation. With an Arken epl4 and zero moa rail I can still dial to 200 yds.
