Anschutz RECEIVER date codes?

Wondering if anyone would have any info on when an Anschutz 54 Match action, serial number 232*** (six digits) would have been manufactured?

Yes, I know about the barrel stamps and codes... I am interested in the six-digit receiver code.

Two digit numbered dates were stamped on barrels by 1961. Two letters were used beginning in 1978. Sounds like your rifle may have had a barrel change if the date stamp is not there. I have a 1983-made 1807 barreled action that has a serial number 201###. I am not aware of any source that will date Anschutz rifles by serial numbers.

Hmm... okay. I have heard the Anschutz will do it if you pay them. The barrel on mine was turned down and fluted (a nice job not bubba) so I have no such barrel stamps.
