I would like to purchase an Anschutz .22lr rifle. After doing some research it looks like the 54 action is the direction I would like to go. The rifle will be used for target shooting from the bench or possibly from a Remple bi-pod.
I would like a heavy barrel, with a wood varmint stock, but I have been unable to find a model like this.
The 1710HB would work, but it only has a "sporter" type forend. The 1712 seems more suited for Silhouette shooting.
The 1913 and 2013 with the BR-50 stocks are full on benchrest rifles. Does any of my fellow CGN'ers have
some ideas?
