I have been thinking about restoring the rifle my grandfather gave me years back. Its a CIL Anshultz 180. The barrel has weak rifling left, the front sight cover is missing. I do enjoying shooting it because it shoots shorts, long and long rifle. Any help where to find some parts would be great!!

I bought one for my 12year old son last year and did the stock over, everything else was great shoots amazingly well! Did you try running a brass cleaning brush through it with good bore cleaner? It is surprising that the bore would be worn, could be lead build up! Good luck and yes redo it, I don't know where to get parts but if you find a supplier please let me know just in case!
Cheers Bob

I spent the better part of 4 months, off and on, poking around to find replacement striker spring and striker for my CIL/Anschutz 125 and a replacement magazine for it... Cost me a $100 all in and I don't regret a dime of it or a minute spent in the search. It's a great little shooter.

Try cleaning the barrel. The metal in the Anschutz made barrels should hold up to tens of thousands of rounds.

I assume your rifle looks closer to the bottom rifle than the top rifle?

The gun is only missing the hood for the front sight. The screw under the stock is a little stripped. Still shoots. It has the normal sights, not the target peep sights. Thanks for the info!

Target shooting products may be able to supply your needs. as was suggested clean the bore with a good lead cleaner. lead build up can make the bore look smooth and worn.
