The tube you have mounted on the barrel is actually a front sight. The proper back sight is a 90-deg affair with two screws to hold it to the base.

All ANSCHUTZ (correct spelling) rifles are very nice. Yours is the Standard Rifle stock profile, which is one step more modern and entirely international from Canada's 'Sporting Rifle' class. They are well made and well supported. I expect yours would be discounted because I don't see the rear sight or any accessories, even though it is about 20 yrs old. About $800.

That's a terrible looking crack... it will deflate the price... still an expensive (and desirable) rifle though.

What does the rear sight look like? I have a bunch of accessories for it I probubly have the correct rear sights. I more wanted to know if it was worth repairing or just leave it as is

Well made actions. The year of Manufacturing (2 digits) will be on the left side of the barrel. ie if the 2 numbers are 74 then the rifle was built in 1974. There should be a dovetail at the end of the barrel to mount that front sight, not sure if that is an Anschutz front sight. The rear sight is not an Anschutz however it will work. Get a few boxes of match ammo and test it out. I am sure it will shoot tiny little bug hole size groups at 50 yards.

Beauty rifle to start shooting~~~!!!!

Yes the stock is rough, the rest looks in good shape. Nothing wrong with the Walther sight. Plenty accurate, but you may choose to find the Anschutz sight set and a new stock to make the rifle proper.

I am sure the barrelled action is still in great shape, even with a crack in the stock.

Lots of people buy those old rifles/barrelled-actions and drop them in new stocks, so you shouldn't have a problem selling it at a very reasonable price but you won't get full fair market value for it.

That's an interesting way to mount the front sight on a 1407.
- On a more serious note, Tradeex has been bringing in older Anschutz, they seem to go for +/- $600

Oddly enough, if selling, you'd probably get more $$ for the bare barreled action than for the complete rifle (with the crack stock)
