Hey Cat,

s for your help, but I am confused, are you saying that this rifle is a cil or anshutz? And that cil rifles have their barrels pinned, or that Anshutz have their barrels pinned? And therefore it's amazing that cil or Anshutz are accurate at all?
The C.I.L. 900 ( which is what you have)
is OEM ( original equipment manufacture) by Anschutz, so it is actually an anschutz rifle with the C.I.L. mark on it.
Any C.I.L. rifle that coincides with their Anschutzcounterpart is made exactly the same, with the same components and quality
And yes, the barrels ARE pinned in place!
The fact that they are accurate does not surprise me as I grew up in a household where C.I.L. and Anschutz were an everyday part of life.
it does surprise some however, when they find out, what with all the supposed
Voodoo that has to go on when barreling up a precision action.
These rifles however are sporters, so maybe this should have been moved to that forum.
However, that fact remains that a 54 actioned Anschutz will hold its own on a good day with some of the best rifles made......
