Anshutz 22LR semi-auto Model 520

You got a good deal on that rifle. The last time I saw them in the Anschutz catalogue, they were $625.00 (US)
I have a model 520 that started life as a CIL model 470 until the receiver cracked. I replaced the receiver with a new model 520 receiver and have never looked back. The model 520 receiver has a larger ejection port and 3 vent holes on the left side to keep crud from building up too fast inside the receiver.
I bought mine from a friend about 20 years ago for $75.00
They are very accurate, the take-down feature is handy for storage and ease of packing.
One thing to watch out for is to keep the chamber clean. I have had 2 extractors blown off when using Remington ammo. I run a Boresnake through the barrel every 100 rounds or so and absolutely refuse to put another round of Remington ammo in this rifle ever again. You cannot get repair parts for these rifles anymore. The gunsmith had to fabricate an extractor for me from scratch.
My wife has more-or-less claimed my Anschutz as her own. I don't get to shoot it much anymore.
Spare magazines are scarce and expensive when you can find them. They go for upwards of $75.00 each if you can find one.
