Issc has made strides to fix problems with the MK22 ( my recent purchase has had all factory fixes identified to date and has performed with out a flaw )
This China/Germany thing is just marketing .. Look at page 19 RX22 manual .. That picture was made before even Issc increased the length of the #108 bolt and changed the washer to the loc type ... German changes .. Sure ???.. And I have a bridge to sell you .. Same frame .. Same BCG ( bolt control group ) same gun .. One can buy a Ruger 10/22 with an upgraded barrel and trigger for $200 or $300 just like you can with this design .. Just one member of the three companies that jointly invested in the design fluffing their ad copy .. Thank god they still had their costs to recoup as I am sure they put pressure on Issc to up their game and make changes b4 their June 2012 release date of the RX22 JMHO
MK22 has had some problems .. Yes .. Are they current? .. Not on my unit! .. Great 22 lots of fun .. Feels right ..
I did not buy it to last as long as a bolt action 22 nor did I want a Bolt action look .... Will I get my $ worth .. Based on performance so far why not .. Will it fire 10 shots to every one of a bolt action 22 over it's lifetime .. If it is up to the grandkids .. You bet it will
Just follow the recommendations on page 19 pf the RX22 manual and locktite the # 108 bolts with your MK22 purchase .. And the RX22 .. ( this must be the "German" assembly change ) It just took place in the printing of the manual ?.. Better cleaning info in this manual also .. More advise as to timing etc.
