Antique 8 bore legality

I don't see why not. As long as it can be demonstrated that it is indeed antique, antique class overrides anything that would make a gun prohib. See FRN 74110 as an example.

Could a flintlock 8 bore be imported into Canada or? This is an original gun

I received a letter from Ms Kellie Paquette, Director General of the CFP, saying that firearms which meet the criteria of "antique firearms" are exempt from the regulatory requirements of the Firearms Act. I would take that to mean that you could also import such guns into Canada. In the case of flintlocks, SOR 98-464 says that flintlock long arms are antique even if they are made in modern times

I was thinking about the new 20mm laws.

I saw on a dealer site the other day were a original 8 bore percussion shotgun was sold so from that i would take that the 20 MM law didn't affect the sell of a antique
