OK someone who i wont name on the open forum is selling reduced loaded ammo for antique handguns.
its a cgn buiness member who offeres the service and up untill recently theres been o problems BUT.
This is the second gun with a buggered barrel see that buldge right up near the muzzel ?
Thats what ammo that is not reloaded carefully does. a underloaded round didnt make it outa the gun the shooter never noticed and then the next 700 FPS 45 bullet hit the stuck round and blew the site right off the barrel wrecking a really nice SAA colt.
This is not the only case.
The seller of said ammo would not do anything about it im not sure they have to either so check after each shot fired.
I never use anyones reloaded ammo in my guns.
Under loaded cartridges can cause as many problems as over loaded cartridges.
even factory fiochhi has had underloaded 8mm lebal ammo.
You should check every round has cleared the barrel if your buying ammo sold as reloaded reduced for antiques. Better still reload your own.
I just hope more guns dont have this happen to them. ammo sold as 700 FPS ammo should never get stuck in a barrel like this, this was a faulty round caused this.
$this happened to a very nice SAA colt.
