Antique in 380 caliber

Can anyone tell me if a revolver made in 1872 in 380clbr.
would pass the CFC requirements as an antique? I cant call
them as today is a holiday and I would like to bid on this
little gun. Also if it is an antique does the barrel length matter?

If it was designed or altered to accept .38 S&W, .38 Short or Long Colt, its not an antique. .380 revolver is different, so it should be antique. If a firearm qualifies as antique, barrel length does not matter.

Just communicated an antique acknowledgment with them for a 380 short revolver. Yes, that year and that calibre is an antique and Andre knows that. He will need to know the markings and would want to see the pictures.

The problem was solved guys the gun happens to be 380RF
and the seller has some original ammo.I guess the best thing to do would be to reload the brass.The gun is a model 900p Tranter made in 1872.I
still havent figuered out the photo thing yet.
