Antique shotguns

Conan, there was a Belgian company that put Parker on the sideplates. The easiest way to check is to take the barrels off and look for proof marks on the flats. Anything with ELG means it is an import. I don't think Parker Bros. made any sidelevers. Your George Gibbs sounds like a nice gun. Any pictures to share?

You know I think I'll take pics of some of my nicer guns.
That a great idea.
Thanks for the info on the 410.

I've got an old 410 hammer sXs that has what looks like the word Parker on the side.
The lever to break the gun open is on the right side of the receiver.

As mentioned above, check for the ELG proof mark; american parkers should safe Parker Bros and british ones should say W or William Parker. The belgian parkers are actually a spoof on the british William Parker who was a very high quality maker.

Screws for Sharps

Rumor has it you are making a replacement screw for one recently lost for a tang sight base on a Sharps...
I am picking the rifle up on Monday. Maybe one should take a few digital pics of the rifle and post them on this site..

Aha; smoked you out did I :>) :>) I wondered whose gun it was. The new stocks looks excellent and the screw is made and in the gun. Diameter .185 x 28 tpi which I suspect is about 4.5 mm and not sure what that pitch translates into
