Antiques During Gun Ban???

quite honestly I think that antiques would be the last thing to go.How would that sort of ban be justified?

Australia had no problem banning antiques in their second round of bannings. It can happen any time the government wants to.

An OIC could change the status of antique guns in the time it akes to sign the document.
If you think you may be immune because the rules say its not a firearm, look closer, you will find that antiques get firearm status a soon as someone breaks a law with one.
If you were to possess one after an OIC says otherwise, you would face the same charges as if you had an M16.

I hate to say it but this is what I was thinking, though not as bad, it was a very sad day when I had to take my previously unregistered 20 " barreled AR15 to the police station to be registered as a restricted firearm. It was way worse for the guys who lost firearms that were prohibited from owning like the SPAS 12, Barrett M82A1, Benelli M1 Super 90 shotgun and many others taken by the government with no compensation.

Yes, but in doing what they did, the government unwittingly gave a reason why the roughly 7 million remaining unregistered firearms should stay unregistered.
